Governors Aims
THE AIMS; THE GOVERNORS AND ALL; THE STAFF AIM:-; To create a stimulating environment in which our children are motivated to reach their full potential in the emotional, social, physical and academic domains. ; To provide learning opportunities and teaching for children to develop the skills, concepts and knowledge necessary for them to become caring, useful and valuable members of their school and the local community.; To teach good manners and courtesy and to praise the good qualities recognised in individuals in order to develop their self esteem and abilities to cope with their weaknesses.; To develop a mutual respect for each person and their property, including a will to understand the ways of other people, religions and races.; To help pupils develop timeless qualities in a rapidly changing society, e.g. adaptability, perseverance, self reliance, co-operative working, problem solving and a sense of the spiritual aspects of life.; To develop good communications and relationships with our parents in order to provide quality assurance and the best open partnership possible to maximise the opportunities for our pupils. THE VALUES; THE GOVERNORS AND ALL THE STAFF BELIEVE THAT:-; * Children must always be at the centre of our decision making process.; * Education is a partnership between home and school.; * Self discipline is attainable for many pupils and an ideal to be worked towards for all.; * Children must develop personal and social skills through working and co-operating together.; * Children should have equal opportunities to gain a full access to a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum.; * The curriculum is the whole learning experience offered by the school and includes attitudes, standards and discipline of the school.; * The self esteem of pupils is very important and pupils will learn better if encouraged positively.
